Here at The Debt Settlement Resource Guide we save you time in searching for the right debt settlement company. There are literally hundreds of debt settlement companies out there and the list is growing daily. Don’t get duped by a slick looking website with false claims. Many of these companies advertising on the internet are 2nd and 3rd tier brokers (brokers of brokers) with marginal affiliations and little or no oversight. At D.S.R.G., we have done the work for you and contacted over 100 different debt settlement companies. We have encountered everything from the good, the bad, and the ugly, and even the down-right fraudulent (yes we even talked to a “gentlemen” who tried to convince us of making payments directly to his personal bank account. Nice try!). In the process of our extensive research we have found A LOT of bad debt settlement companies! We have also found a few good companies who are great negotiators, offer some of the lowest fees, have great easy to use online tools, and friendly, cooperative customer service. See our Top Debt Settlement Companies to find out who they are and why we like them.
The information contained in the Top Debt Settlement Companies and Program Fees page was established by cross referencing active T.A.S.C. members against the underlying company’s Better Business Bureau report. Debt settlement companies which maintained an A or B were then evaluated on the number and type of complaints filed and how long the company has been in business. D.S.R.G. then called the company posing as a potential client with $35,000 in credit card debt. The company was then ranked according to service fees, account fees, and how honest and upfront the sales agent was in disclosing these fees. The information contained on this website is for informational purposes only. Program fees of the various debt settlement companies can vary depending on the amount of debt, the type of debt, macroeconomics, and other factors. Please use your judgment when shopping for a debt settlement company as a debt settlement program is not for everyone with debt.
Thanks
